There are 5 or 6 wishes for this game under various names going back to the early days of GOG. They still havent done anything to bring this awesome game back to the people. I do not understand why. It would be a guaranteed money maker. There has never been a better version of MTG for the PC. The demand is there.
This game needs to be republished! Come on GOG do it, do it now!
I really expected this to be available. It's the first place I looked.
I need this ! The paper game died a long time ago though it still lives as some lifeless zombie of it's former self. Shandalar really encapsulates what the true game of Magic was in all it's glory.
I truly hope this one survives the test of time.

This game truly needs to be reimagined for the Win7+ users in the world... it may have been a buggy little game but it was a real gem with all the cards from alpha on. would easily pay for a working win 7+ version
And it's abandonware.

Add another to the request list. It seems to be abandonware, so all we really need is a way to make it work properly in Windows 10. Maybe you could just offer some kind of intermediary program which would be free to members who have purchased a few other games from GoG.

What set this apart (and I can't believe no one's done this since!) is that your card pieces are acquired from exploring the world itself, not just from winning duels and delving dungeons. It introduced believable handicaps, your avatar growing with you regardless of whether or not you were finding the best cards. There were exclusive pieces of the game that took advantage of randomization that could not be replicated on tabletop. It's base format is a vintage, almost naive form of the game that current players of the TCG either remember fondly or have never been allowed to experience.
It is every definition of a Good Old Game.
